Myra is an ancient city located in the southeastern region of Turkey, near the Mediterranean coast. It is famous for its well-preserved Lycian tombs and the impressive Greco-Roman theater that still stands today. Myra was also home to the fourth-century saint, Nicholas of Myra, who is known for his generosity and association with the modern-day figure of Santa Claus. The city is situated in the Antalya Province and is approximately a two-hour drive from the regional capital of Antalya. Visitors to Myra can explore the ruins of the ancient city and visit the nearby Turkish resort towns of Kas and Kalkan.
